The Best Gift Ever!

I have some thanks to give before I can get to business.

First, to my husband Dean. Dean encouraged me to write on his blog. He did it, even though, I could barely construct a coherent sentence. English was my worst subject in school and it showed. Actually, it still does but I'm much better. He gave me confidence in my ability and edited me into coherency. Without Dean, the QOAE wouldn't exist. I cut my teeth at Dean's World and for my birthday, he gifted me with this blog. He has removed my training wheels and I'm riding alone now. Thank's babe.

Next, to my lil' sister Alice.

She heard that I was getting my own blog and created my logo. I loved the logo and asked her to help me design the site. I gave her my specifications, I said that I wanted it to be red/white and reflect my personality. That's it. She came up with the design and layout. She spent the entire weekend working on it and I mean the entire weekend. She did that so I could have it ready for my birthday. She also happened to be in horrific pain from a back injury. She finished it, made it go live and left for the emergency room to get her back tended. That, my friends, is love. Love and dedication. For that and being the best sister anyone could ask for EVER, I thank you Alice.

Oh, and I totally love you dudette! You fuckin' rock!

Last, but definitely not least, my brother in-law Steve. Steve gave up his weekend to help Alice code this blog. I would like to mention that neither Steve nor Al have ever seen Moveable Type before. They figured out how to do this on their own and did a kick ass job. Steve worked into the night coding and fixing all the quirks. It was not an easy job and I want to make sure Steve knows it isn't a thankless one. Thank you Steve for your many hours of work making this happen for me. And thank you for taking care of my sister and dragging her ass to the hospital. You rock too!

Okay. That's it. On to the serious business of kicking John Kerry's ass!

I should mention to you that the logo and background, while awesome, don't show up in Mozilla Firefox. In fact, none of the images do.

Yeah the design is beautiful but I see none of the images in Mozilla either, so, presumably, there's some issue with the tags. I assume it's pretty minor.

I know what the problem is. All the paths to the images are written like "images\queen_back.gif" and so on. It should be a forward slash, not a backslash. "images/queen_back.gif" for instance.

Umm...I do have firefox so I'm apparently not getting something, but the written word is the important part.

Arne, if you need assistance interepreting what I meant...allow me to clarify. To criticize a site which just opened for business today because it lacks substance, is utterly ridiculous. Would you criticize a infant for not being able to carry on a conversation with you? Perhaps, you would. Time will tell whether this site has substance or not. It is premature and simply spiteful to crticize something that is so young.

See, the thing about trolls is, they know they're being trolls. They do it on purpose. The whole point is to get your goat.

I can't wait until we're able to go to requiring registration to comment. A lot of stupid fights will end at that point, and I might actually go back to enjoying discussing and debating with commenters, rather than having to deal wit people snarking me and acting like I'm an idiot or a jerk because I don't have time to answer everything anymore.
