It's easy to lose perspective. This is the sort of thing that snaps things right back into focus. Posted by: marc at June 1, 2004 12:55 PMExcellent post. Now if we could only convince more Americans that they could actually LEARN something useful from history. Posted by: Noble Eagle at June 1, 2004 01:21 PMIf they only learn this: "Those who murder understand only force and nothing else. And the only force that is able to stand against them is the American democracy." ...and show up in November to make use of it. Posted by: shep at June 1, 2004 02:12 PMIf we don't learn from history, we will learn from those who will kill us. Posted by: QuantumThnk at June 1, 2004 02:48 PMProfound and true. The Polish people have had a long, tragic, and noble history of fighting for their freedom, for their nationhood. They do not forget. Nor do the Jewish people. Remember the Warsaw Ghetto! Never give up your freedom. Never give up your gun. Posted by: Steven Malcolm Anderson the Lesbian-worshipping gun-loving selfish aesthete at June 1, 2004 06:44 PMThis is an excellent post Rosemary. I can only imagine how deeply it touched you. Posted by: Janelle at June 1, 2004 08:25 PMI read this over at Indepundit earlier today and it blew me away. I thought of you, Rosemary, right away...the Polish connection. I've made of note of Chrenkoff's site and will return there often. Anyway, glad you posted it too. This one is a keeper. obviously Edelman has the courage of his convictions and will not be a fool for the press. Posted by: jane m at June 1, 2004 11:33 PM |
