Heh... I just recently posted an update on the new Johnny Depp version of this film classic on my site. No word yet on if Kerry will play a part... he might be the chicken in the tunnel come November. Posted by: Big Dan at July 27, 2004 08:55 PM*sung to oompa loompa tune* What do you get when you fight war for oil? France and Germany they think we are uncool, You know exactly who's..to...blame. Oompa Loompa Doopity doo, I've got another sound bite for you. Oompa Loompa Doopity dee, If you are wise you'll vote John Kerry. Like the Oompa Loompa's doopity do! Cold, cold, cold! LOL! Posted by: S-Train at July 28, 2004 01:05 AMIt's Trojan Man!! Posted by: Phi at July 28, 2004 02:13 AM"Every sperm is sacred..." Posted by: Mark Noonan at July 28, 2004 03:40 AMPhi: You have to learn to do what is right, no matter what the "cool" kids, France and Germany, are doing and saying. Be your own person, not a follower. Free 20+ million people from the shackles of one of the most God-Awful tyrannies of the late Twentieth Century and give them back their country. Oops! I forgot! The "Cool Kids" didn't approve, so we shouldn't have done that! Posted by: Mike at July 28, 2004 08:26 AMPhi: Before you say it - yes, I am aware that we have supported tyrannies. Yes, I am aware that there are other tyrannies in the world that we are not over-throwing. I didn't say we were perfect, just better than your average Great Power. I wish we had the strength to go and knock over all the tyrannies of the world at once. And no, just because we aren't knocking overe Tyranny X, Y, or Z is no reason not to knock off Hussein's gov't, nor is the fact that we may have offered him support (limited as it was) in the past a good argument to let his tyranny be. PS He was a Soviet client - all those T-series tanks, MiG-series jets, and BTR-series afv's are a broad hint as to who backed whom. Not to mention Super-Etandard (sp?) fighters. Now who made those, I wonder? Posted by: Mike at July 28, 2004 10:11 AMCome on, Rosemary. That the best you got? Heh. Here's some for ya: http://www.thetalentshow.org/archives/001124.html This is fun. Oh and you know something I just found out this morning? Michael Moore is fat! (Elizabeth Edwards is no Lara Flynn Boyle either, if you know what I'm sayin'.) Posted by: Adam at July 28, 2004 11:28 AMYa know - everytime I see Lara Flynn Boyle I'm tempted to start throwing food at her. That poor girl needs a sandwich! Posted by: Rosemary the Queen of All Evil at July 28, 2004 11:45 AMUh, Mike, are you confusing me with a moonbat or something? I guess my little diddy should have included *sarcasm on* Posted by: Phi at July 28, 2004 03:56 PMPhi: Must have confused you with someone else. Yeah, a sarcasm tag would have helped the obtuse (me). Sorry about that and all. Why don't we just let all of this be water under the bridge? ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Posted by: Steven Malcolm Anderson the Lesbian-worshipping gun-loving selfish aesthete at July 28, 2004 04:43 PMCouldn't resist that joke. That was hilarious, even though I have no sense of humor. Posted by: Steven Malcolm Anderson the Lesbian-worshipping gun-loving selfish aesthete at July 29, 2004 12:10 AMhee hee hee I have to admit, that picture is pretty funny. And if the right-wingers want to play that game, I say "bring it on!" We on the left could post pics of Dubya falling of his Segway, or choking on his pretzel, or readingd My Pet Goat---or even post video of Dubya picking his nose. You really wanna play that game? Posted by: Don Myers at July 30, 2004 12:05 PMActually, that's the best picture of Kerry that I've ever seen. In all the other pictures: He needs a haircut! So do Edwards and Bush. Cheney looks fine, though. I need a haircut, too, pretty soon. Another crew-cut. Posted by: Steven Malcolm Anderson the Lesbian-worshipping gun-loving selfish aesthete at August 1, 2004 05:44 PMBob B.: If you keep this up, the Queen won't allow you here any more either. If you're for the Iraq war to "free 20 million" oppressed people, ask yourself, "when did I first become the great humanitarian?", and more to the point, when did George? If you're for the war for oil, for American prosperity and stability THEN you've got a case. Who's next? The millions in Iran?, Syria?, Libya?, the millions in North Korea, Myanmar?, the 850 million in China?, India?, Liberia?, Sudan?... I mean, folks, you're not even making sense any sense. What kind of peace to their people would they have brought if Ghandi and M.L.K. Jr. had felt that pre-emptive force was the answer to ridding their oppressors? Jimmy Carter said it best "in the world at large, we cannot lead if our leaders mislead" The presidency is simply no place to be shooting from the hip. |
