October 28, 2004New York Times Lied, Truth DiedThe New York Times and CBS are at it again. This time they claimed the Bush administration "may have" let 380 tons of explosives get into terrorist hands. But as just about everyone knows now, they left out crucial info. Like how the amount may be way exaggerated. Like how U.S. troops were there and said they found nothing. Like how it looks like if there ever was anything there, the Russians may have moved it for Saddam before America even got there! But John F'ing Kerry and his fans are recklessly repeating the charges anyway, while leaving all those details out! Wizbang has all the details if you want to follow them. Me? I just say "liar liar pants on fire, John F'ing Kerry and the New York Times!" Posted by rosemary at October 28, 2004 09:37 AM | TrackBackComments
Funny that the Financial Times is owned by Pearson PLC. who is not only a Bush Contributor but also has stake in a Bush victory. You fail to mention that this article (below and which you linked to) isn't based on fact but what someone "beleives"
Now, check this article out - I think the AP is a credible news source Why can't you people just admitt that Iraq is a major fuck up and apologize for that. From there, maybe we can all work together to fix the mess. Posted by: nunya at October 28, 2004 11:10 AMAnything to make Bush look bad is allowed - even leaving out crucial details. it is a two way street, pal. are you saying the GOP doesn't do it? Rose - you may want to update your links Russia Denies Involvement in Iraq Weapons 2 hours, 15 minutes ago Europe - AP By VLADIMIR ISACHENKOV, Associated Press Writer MOSCOW - Russia angrily denied allegations Thursday that Russian forces had smuggled a cache of high explosives out of Iraq (news - web sites) prior to the U.S. invasion in March 2003. Posted by: nunya at October 28, 2004 11:40 AMWell, that's no surprise. They also denied being bribed by Saddam before the UN vote... Posted by: Rosemary the Queen of All Evil at October 28, 2004 11:50 AMprove that they were bribed. Posted by: nunya at October 28, 2004 11:54 AMAh Nunya, Always the provocatuer. Here's the latest on this blasted explosives blow-up. Heh. ABC News has acquired an internal UN document which says that in actuality, ten days before the invasion started there were 3 TONS of RDX / HMX at the Al Qaqaa (how appropriately named) facility. Not 377 tons as the publicly circulated memo stated. Hmmm, is there any possibility that someone in the UN was trying to influence our election with the release of the 377 tons figure? Kerry is still out there with his wild accusations about this. Hope it blows up in his face. Heh.
yet another article do you blow them off or do we investigate? let's see how the despot bush fuck this one up. Posted by: nunya at October 28, 2004 11:57 AMand montie - get your facts right - nobody in the UN suggested anything - The International Atomic Energy Agency is the one who says 400 tons are missing. "…like how the amount may be way exaggerated. Like how U.S. troops were there and said they found nothing. Like how it looks like if there ever was anything there, the Russians may have moved it for Saddam before America even got there!" That's the f*cking excuse? "Don’t blame us because we don't have a clue what happened to (possibly) hundreds of tons of high explosives that were under the control of international inspectors until we kicked them out to secure Iraqi WMDs. We don’t know exactly how much there was or when they found their way into insurgent hands because we just didn't bother even to secure the country’s biggest ammo dump and find out what was there for over a month after we could have had effective control of it.” (more proof that they didn’t believe their own WMD rationale?) “…the Bush administration "may have" let 380 tons of explosives get into terrorist hands”, is 100% correct. Thanks to this administration’s breathtaking ineptitude (must have been "the fog of war"), we’ll never know. What exactly meets your definition of gross incompetence by your mighty “we’re smarter than everyone” warriors? Ooo, Pictures and everthing. Such many lies and distractions for the administration to keep track of, so little actual evidence....except this: Film Crew May have Smoking GunPosted by: Mark Adams, the high and mighty, hypocritical, DNC talking point spouting bloviator. at October 28, 2004 02:32 PM Me thinks Nunya needs to get his/her own blog started since you seem to try to take over every conversation on here. President Bush is responsible because a measely few tons of (WMDS!!!!!!!) are overlooked - I am sure he walked right past them. Oh, and did you hear that the hurricanes were his fault too? Posted by: Anastasia at October 28, 2004 04:13 PMYou're joking, right Mark? I watched the video, and one of their journalists think '3 or 4 guys in a pickup truck' were running off with this stuff (I'll leave you to do the math on how long it would take to remove the 377 tons, 141 tons, or 3 tons depending on what day of the week you ask a reporter). By the way, where were the IAEA seals that were guaranteed to have been on Al QaQaa's bunkers by the UN? Do you see any seals in this video? The embeds aren't even sure they were actually at Al Qaqaa, the GPS info was only given for where they were based out of, then they estimated from there. Posted by: John Irving at October 28, 2004 04:47 PMAtrios What do you think? This picture sure looks like seals to me. How about you? Any more questions? Like maybe, how the hell, no matter who wins our election, are we really going to have elections in Iraq by January? Even if we do, how do we stop an all out civil war (as if it's not that already)? Is anyone under the delusion that anything other than a theocracy, a prolonged and bloody occupation lasting a decade, or instilation of a strongman.dictator (or some combination) is what the future holds for Iraq? Is that what you envisioned when we went in? (Me? sure.) Is that the picture the administration painted? (Not so much.) Hey but there's so light at the end of the rainbow. Bush got caught photoshoping crowd scenes. (But just a little more deception doesn't hurt anymore, does it?) And the FBI is going after Haliburton. All in all a pretty good day for Springstein fans too. G'night Posted by: Mark Adams, the high and mighty, hypocritical, DNC talking point spouting bloviator. at October 28, 2004 09:13 PMOh yes, Atrios is a good source for information. . after all he gets it straight from Democratic Underground. Those pictures are also not in the video, so there is no evidence they come from the same source. But you failed to answer my questions, so I'll leave you with this thought. . . Prrresidennnt JJohnnnnn KKKkkerrrrrryyyyyy. What? That didn't help? It's going to be a long four years. When you guys finish fighting it out over who was responsible for proping up that empty suit you put in the White House and purge the cultish Spinocchios from the GOP, we might be able to work towards making this country better instead of tearing each other apart. In the mean time, there's a lot of damage to fix, a lot of explaining to do, and a lot of progress to be made. So make sure you give President Kerry (boy I do like the sound of that) some slack because he's got his work cut out for him. Posted by: Mark Adams, the high and mighty, hypocritical, DNC talking point spouting bloviator. at October 28, 2004 11:28 PMMark, Nominating Kerry was a good way for the Democrats to make sure the country would remain divided. His candidacy is an open wound. I've never seen a candidate more hated right out of the box than Kerry, and that includes Nixon. If you think saying President John F. How come every time the lefty commie pig Kerry and his cabal play dirty it gets broadcasted as "infallible truth", and when the Republicans decides to counter the “truthfully” false charges, the Republicans are then accused by the Dems of being "fear mongers" and "untruthful" and “negative” etc...I thought hair-ball Edwards, and "how-many-hair-styles-and-skin-color-changes-by-Nov.2-in-order-to look-presidential-Kerry" were to bring "openness" and "accountability" to the office. This is the "happy-meal" Senator. Every week, his "conspiratorial" accusations change, as much as his "go large" presidential policies (which are all show and no substance, just like these latest “explosive” accusations..). I love how he got up with Springcheese yesterday in Wisconsin and tried to sound collegiate by stating "..reminds me of college…staying up late…drinkin beer…eating cold pizza...yuk yuk,"(paraphrased of course) This guy never dribbled cheese grease or beers suds down his arm without getting a rash…or having to take a laxative...he is a complete uptight, pursed, prepped, pampered-chef, condiment-laidened, cheese-whizzed-hair&skin-toned-senator-friend-of-that-other-hydrogen-filled-drunk&fat-faced-pig-roasted-federallyfundedforever-Edward-cant-see-my-waistline-Kennedy. Anyway.... Jane M. wrote: I have a feeling Kerry will be a one-term President no matter what he does. 1) If he is as bad as I fear he will be, he'll be another Jimmy Carter. And this time around, we may not have another Ronald Reagan to come to our rescue. We may get somebody else. Pat Buchanan? Satanorum? 2) If he surprises me, if he actually begins to fight this War, then, as Jane M. predicted, his peacenik supporters will turn on him, and he'll then very likely be another LBJ, as they'll demand a candidate even more appeasing. I think of 1964, and the way the Left hated Barry Goldwater. They, and their candidate, systematically portrayed him as a reckless cowboy, as a crazed warmonger, as insane, psychotic, as a Nazi, as a bloodthirsty lunatic out to abolish Social Security and blow up little girls picking daisies. Sound familiar? They defeated Goldwater and re-elected Johnson. And, then, when Johnson not only continued but escalated the War in Viet Nam, they turned on him with a vengeance, and he became the bloodthirsty child-killing warmonger. "Hey, hey, LBJ, how many kids did you kill today?" They turned to Eugene McCarthy as their "peace" candidate, then refused to vote for Hubert Humphrey (thus electing Nixon, ha! ha! ha!), then ran McGovern in 1972 to a defeat as decisive as Goldwater's had been, and more so. The Democratic party has never quite recovered since. If the Michael Moore faction retains control, it will self-destruct for sure. If men like Joe Lieberman regain control, there will be hope. I don't like Hillary Clinton, but I must say she is smart, like her husband, staying aloof from the Moore crowd and positioning herself as a hawk. 2008 looks to be an interesting year.
