Happy Thanksgiving

I don't have anything profound to say about Thanksgiving that hasn't been said better by someone else.

I am thankful for my family and friends, good health and freedom.

Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Enjoy your day.

George Washington ("first in war, first in peace, first in the hearts of his countrymen") said it all very well indeed.

THANK YOU!!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOURS. GOD [AND ALL GODS AND GODDESSES] BLESS YOU AND YOURS ALWAYS. AND THAT MEANS EVERYONE WHO READS THIS.

All the best to everyone.

It occurred to me yesterday, when I was cooking my 3rd turkey, ever, at my house, that one of the signs of getting older is everyone comes to your house instead of you packing up the kids to go to theirs. That your kid in college comes home for the holidays, instead of you going home. That when you look around for a volunteer to carve the turkey, they all defer to you. That the children of your brothers and sisters bring their babies into your home. That you are the one who voices the prayer of thankfulness for everyone in your home.

I look back and think, well, yeah, Dad was 45 when we all gathered to watch him do these things.

All in all, it's been a very nice Thanksgiving. Dad is doing well. I miss Mom, but it's ok.
