Dave in Texas (mail):
Little Johnny has been misbehaving so badly that his mom uses the threat of "Santa"...drags his little butt in front of the little Nativity arrangement in their home, and directs him to write a letter to the baby Jesus, apologizing for his misdeeds. If it's not really really convincing, no toys for Christmas.

He starts. "Dear baby Jesus, I'm really sorry I..". No, not sincere enough. Throws away the paper. Second attempt begins "Dear baby Jesus, please forgive me for..". Nothing. He sighs in frustration, he knows he'll never be able to sound sincere enough.

He looks at the baby Jesus for a while, then reaches over and picks up the Virgin Mary figurine. He takes it upstairs, puts it in his dresser drawer under the socks, and comes back.

Johnny picks up the pencil and writes:

"Dear baby Jesus. If you ever want to see your mother again..."

I was a really naughty boy every day every year. And yet I always got wonderful presents every Christmas. Santa must have been distracted while making out his blacklist.
