We all know who today's reactionary conservative element is, don't we?

I mean, come on!

"Nothing wrong here if these stupid kids would just get with the program!"

Yet one more post that brings back good memories. I grew up with Mr. Magoo in the early 1960s. They used to have a show in which Mr. Magoo enacted various classics of literature. Every year, he played old Ebenezer Scrooge in Dickens's a "Christmas Carol".

Don't you knkow that Mr. Magoo is now verboten? Yes! Insensitive to the differently-sighted! See, look! Look!

(So to speak.)

I have not problem with marrying a homo, so long as she brings her girlfriend over once in awhile.

Ok, that was wrong and I apologize.

Seriously, though. I supported Social Security reform long before Bush came along, and I would support a plan that goes alot further than his. But, I'm a public employee in Ohio, so I don't actually pay Social Security right now. But it's not a bad plan. The amount I pay into this retirement plan actually belongs to me. In fact, if I ever leave my current job I can recover most of what I paid in (I do get penalized for withdrawing early). That's at least better than Social Security where I wouldn't know what to expect.

Dear Pam:

Thank you! I'm glad to see that somebody else here remembers.

Goddam those AARP bastards! They'll be dead soon enough and yet they STILL want to take my Social Security money with them.

It's like listening to Dan Burton and his conspiracy theories about the Clintons..

The hatred of Bush upends reason.

I almost feel sorry for them. Until I remember this is a fight of ideas and principles. Then I start laughing.
