Too bad none of them is named George W. Bush.

Oh whatever. I'm sure they all miss the bread lines and such. What an idiot.

I'm quite certain that President Kerry would refuse to meet with Putin or ever say a kind or civil word about him. Because that's just the kind of decisive, principled leader he would be. He'd also never meet with a member of the Saudi royal family, or say anything nice about the Sauds either.

But I guess we'll never know, will we? Maybe someone, some day, will write a work of fiction about that.

On the other hand, here and now, we know what President Bush has said and done.

Did you live in the Soviet Union prior to its collapse? Just wondering because you mentioned something my wife and her family have no knowledge of - bread lines. Her family had a much higher standard of living before the fall of the Soviet Union. They enjoyed affordable and abundant fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy products, but now struggle to earn enough to buy these products. Her mother is an architect, her father a carpenter and yet they struggle to live in Russia today. For the average Russian citizen, daily life was better before the fall of communism.

Ironically, her family can't travel to the U.S. to visit even on a tourist visa because U.S. immigration won't let them. Now, if they were tennis or hockey players, that's another story. If you are rich, the U.S. will let you in, if not, sorry, thanks for playing.

For all this talk of freedom and liberty that Bush has stuck in his pea-brain memory bank and looped for speeches, they can't visit us.

Before you call someone an idiot, you might want to have even a slight clues as to what you are talking about.
