C'mon, You Know The MSM Isn't Biased
Howard Dean looks like an idiot when he can't seem to distinguish between Saddam and Osama. On Meet the Press:
Dean: "But the thing that really bothered me the most, which the 9-11 Commission said also wasn't true, is the insinuation that the president continues to make to this day that Osama bin Laden had something to do with supporting terrorists that attacked the United States. That is false. The 9-11 Commission, chaired by a Republican, said it was false."

You know if ANY Republican made that slip, we'd hear about it at every opportunity. I mean if Chimpy McSmirk Bush screwed up like that, we'd never hear the end of how stooopid he is.

My favorite part of Dean's interview was when he basically admitted, what we've been saying and they've been denying, that Liberal Democrat = Socialist.

No shit, Howie.

Rose, you have a transcript or a link? We've got NO TV so no news unless it's online, and well that would mean I would have to TRUST the MSM.

Well, maybe Dean was against the Afghan war too.

If Osama bin Laden wasn't behind the murder of the World Trade Center, then the Japanese weren't behind Pearl Harbor. What a twit Howard Dean has turned out to be. A year ago, I had a higher opinion of him. You are right about the media giving him a free pass. Most of the TV networks, newspapers, and news magazines have become the house organs for one particular political party, but without the honesty to say so. At least Bernie Sanders is honest enough to openly call himself a Socialist. Most of the rest of them prefer the Fabian approach instead. I'm against that.

HAIL TO THE QUEEN OF ALL EVIL...!!!!

Puhhlleeaase!

Dean makes one gaffe an everyone is ready to jump all over him?

Umm...

Bush has made an ass of himself time and time again, reinforcing the conviction that his neurons are not fully connected.

Why do the right wing ppl *religiously* support such an inarticulate person? Let's be honest, I've had more meaningful converstions with my children than I've seen with our President.

Let's not bash the opponents of our leader simply because they goofed. Our leader has done enough of that.

I'm no obligate supporter of Dean. But if you're going to make off-the-cuff comments on politicians, perhaps you should mention how our current President has mislead this country in terms of the threat of Iraq in relation to the threat of nuclear and WMD, as well as to any relation to Al-Quaida.

This was an attempt to fulfill daddy's shortcomings, in terms of displacing Saddam in Desert Storm, in the wake of a terrorist attack that would allow plausible world support. And GEE, my oil buddies will make boku bucks in addition? Sems like a no lose situation for GWB.

I was wrong.

This was not an attempt to fulfill daddy's shortcomings.

It is far more sinister.

Anyone ever hear of the PNAC?

A Republican think-tank, with the likes of Cheney, Wolfowitz, Bolton, that openly advocated the attack of Iraq (with or WITHOUT Saddam) and the establishment of permanent bases there, all in the name of American military imperialism. BEFORE 9/11! They knew what they wanted to do long before then, and they did it.

I was nauseous after learning the truth as to why we went to war in Iraq so easily. 1600+ Americans dead. Because we deserve to be the new world empire. How in the hell did this not get MSM airplay???

Are you nauseous?
5.31.2005 11:45pm
Tom Hawkson (mail) (www):
No, FormerRepub, this FormerDem is not nauseous, because I don't believe any of your assertions. I know why I wanted war in Iraq. My reasons ranged from very short term to very long term. I probably read 400 pages of material before I got off the fence. Iraq was good tactics in the WOT, good strategy and good grand strategy. Do you like chess?

Tom (wince?),

You are bordering on idiocy.

The PNAC's intent to invade Iraq regardles of wether Saddam was a presence ther is a matter of record. And Cheney's, Wolfowitz's, Bolton's participation is a matter of record.

Hey, once 9/11 happened, and Rumsfeld (also a contributor to the PNAC-umm, Bush campaigned on a platform of decreasing American international militarism, yet chose ppl highly committed to increasing American military imperialism-see any discrepancy there?)) demanded an attack plan on Iraq (which had NO involvement in 9/11), how can ANY reasonable person NOT believe that the Imperialists were simply promoting their agenda of establishing a PERMANENT military base in the middle east (we can discuss this in 10 yrs, after Cheney's misdirection that we as a country have no desires on another's land, after our permanent bases still stand)?

This whole war is a fucking lie. Excuse my French. Oh, I forgot, We don't like the French... We don't even like an international consensus that invading a sovereign nation is justified. We prefer to align ouselves with the PNAC. An American Empire is the desired goal.

I don't *neccessarily* dissagree with the idea of an American Empire. I do, however, think it should be a specific idea debated within our country. Not one that is hidden from the public view, and promoted by t5hose in power. That smacks of Faschism. Big time. How in the world has our media forsdaken us?

Is that the country YOU want to live in?

I don't.

BTW, I DO like chess. However, chess is a game with consequences that have ramifications only in ego. WAR is not a game. Real lives are at stake. Are you willing to send your relatives to Iraq?

Drat. One last thing. Don't forget the Downing Street Memo. This only confirms that the current Administration was all about invading Iraq, despite the evidence. Oil is a powerful motivator.

The fact that our media and citizens have ignored the significance of this is sickening.

FormerRepub,

"You are bordering on idiocy."

You have crossed a border, although not that one. The state you now live in might be called: Exilia. The motto: We're so angry and insulting we'd rather offend than persuade.

What are your goals, dude?

You are 100% correct, I was 100% out of line.

I sincerely apologize for my rudeness.
