King Kong

This was everything I hoped it would be. Truly spectacular. I can't say enough about it. I will say that the people who didn't like were just expecting to not like it. They didn't want to like it. I went in hoping for the best and I was not disappointed. I laughed, I cried, I ran the full gamut of emotions and to me that is a ggod film.

Go see it!

Ya RAH!

Can't wait to see this. I've heard nothing but good things. How are the performances?

Amazing. Naomi Watts was so incredible, I wish they nominated people for movies like this. She deserves an Oscar nod.

What I can't figure out is why it's turning out to be only a lukewarm hit at the box office. Not that it'll lose money or anything, but it isn't the huge hit people expected.

Why do you think that is?

I have no idea, Dean and I were talking about it. Dean thinks it has something to do with some of the lukewarm reviews. We just aren't sure why King Kong got any. People complain about the length but I thought it moved pretty fast and I didn't feel like it was too long.

That's what the critics are saying. They're saying it's too long. I do't care I'm going anyway. I can't wait to see this thing.

And thanks for the Naomi Watts update. She's one of my favorite actors.

The length alone shouldn't be a factor -- Return of the King was a half hour longer and it raked in double the dollars.

Return of the King was part three of a very successful trilogy. King KOng hasn't had a glorious past, I mean Jessica Lange and Jeff Bridges almost murdered the idea of King Kong. Maybe people are just afraid of disappointment.

That's why I feel strongly enough to post about it, movie reviewing isn't something I normally do, I want to encourage people to risk it.
