Very nice bio! I looooove the dogs! Just a guess here, but from the looks of things, I would say Lucy rules Stopka. She has that look like "What are you looking at?" While Stopka looks like he just wants to be left alone :)
True, although Lucy is half his size, she is highly jealous and definately rules him. He's just happy with the occassional tummy scratching and daily walk in the park.
Nice to get to know you, Tim. It will be fun to learn more...
Umm, I think I now know more about Lucy than I'd like to, though. (My dead, these past 6 years, Golden Retriever, Brandy had a taste for her companion Min Pin's (George's) poo, too. I couldn't watch while she snacked. The Min Pin at 10 lbs ruled the roost too and Brandy did as she was told with typical Golden cheerfulness. I guess we all have some poo stories...)
I love the dogs, so cute. I want to get a Puggle for the boys this Easter, they are so damn expensive. Average cost is 1000 bucks around here. It's been over a year since our dog Buttons passed and we are really aching for a new one.
Well, my pugs cost less than 250 each, but I wasn't concerned whether or not they were AKC registered. Lucy is and Stopka is not, but let me tell you this, they are great dogs, but require lots of attention and care. They are not to be left alone for too long as they crave human affection. Also, I get up every morning and cook their food - fresh boiled chicken thighs (skinless and boneless), cabbage and brown rice. Also, boiled yams are good for them. You would not believe how much of a difference it makes in their health and coat when you give them good food. Plus, if I'm hungry, I can make a plate for myself ;-)
I think it's because the puggles are the "new in thing" that they cost so much. I've checked with local breeders and pet shops the cheapest was 600 and because it's a mixed breed I don't think they get AKC registered.
Jeez.... I hadn't thought of the pugs we had in the early 90's. Almost a mirror image of yours. The Tan one was Archie and the Black one was named Stanley after my dad. The only differerence was that Stanley replaced poo eating with being loveabley dumb.
