Actually, I like pot pies. I have recently discovered the wonder that is the Marie Callender Creamy Parmesean Chicken pot pie. The thing is massive, weighing in at 16.5ozs. It tastes like a noodle free Chicken Alfredo in a cripsy crust. I love that it gets crisp right in the microwave.
I cooked it at 10am (yummy breakfast) and I managed half then and I just wolfed down the other half for lunch at 2pm. I'm so full and my tummy is happy. I'm just sad that there isn't any left for dinner.
What's your favorite freezer to microwave food?

Even better yet for my taste are pastys, especially when home made (quite easy to make), but a few store bought brands are good though not easy to find.
Several Yupper recipes here.
Mine is similar the the "Marquette recipe" except that I add a couple of carrots.
Seems to me I've tried Marie Callender's in the past and not liked it any better, but maybe I need to give it another try.
Marie's are filled with huge chunks of white meat chicken and the parmesean sauce is not thick, yellow or gluey at all. She make's a chicken with mushroom one too that is pretty good. My 8 year old hates pot pies for the same reasons you listed, he loved these.
Undecided but guilt-ridden.
If you have a heart condition and you are supposed curb the fat, I'm not sure it's worth the risk.
I'm not too concerned with the fat myself. My blood pressure has been on the low side, I just got congrats for getting it back up to a normal range (110/70). my last cholesterol reading was 159 (LDL was 90 and my HDL was 69) even my triglicerides are okay at 132.
It's people like you that make the rest of us look bad.
BTW, all the guilt is in the cardboard, as I just nuked the pie and will be eating shortly.
I hate people who have crawfish big enough to eat in their neighborhoods. I've eaten crawfish once, and I still think of it fondly, though it were nearly thirty years ago.

Come on down for Jazz Fest -- we'll show you a good time and we can eat all the crawfish you want.
Would love to sometime, I've always wanted to visit the French-speaking part of your country :)
In the meanwhile, y'know, job, kids, bills, etc...
Had one of the Marie Callender's Parmesan Chicken pot pies over the weekend. I liked it, and the sauce was good. Sort of surprised by the broccoli, though - not my favorite vegetable, and something I didn't expect in a pot pie. Otherwise, I'd recommend it.
In general, freezer-nuke "food" is almost food. Usually not. Although Marie Callender is the closest to food out there. An old girlfriend loved their stuff.
If I want something that tastes like alfredo, I'll get a chunk of Locatelli romano, some light cream, some Barilla Spinach and Ricotta tortellini and have some tortellini alfredo.
The only bad thing about Marie Callander's stuff is that the microwave cooking instructions are often akin to rocket science. "Puncture the plastic film over the chicken and microwave on high 5 minutes. Now pull back the plastic film over the rice, stir, re-cover, and microwave on medium for 3:30. Finally, using Jupiter's gravity well to achieve solar escape velocity..."
I'm going to have to try the pot pie, though... broccoli is my favorite vegetable.
Note that the "250 calories" for Marie Callendar's lasagna is PER SERVING and there are nearly three servings in a package. Sorry, you don't get to eat a pound of food for 250 calories. Still, you can certainly get away with eating a whole one for dinner, maybe adding a salad.
