It pisses me off too but I’m reluctant to punish people for “cheating” by risking their lives to find a miserable job to try feed their families, epsecially when “cheating” is so widely practiced by the natives for so much more trivial and selfish reasons.
Illegals are playing by certain rules within a system set up by some of those very same Americans, merely to fatten their own bottom lines through cheap labor. Why do you think Bush is pissing you off and tearing apart the Republican Party over the issue in the first place? The people “cheating” by hiring those “cheaters” are his people.
Here’s a thought: let’s screen them all – the ones in line and the ones already here – and let them all become Americans if they haven’t committed any greater crime than sneaking in to work hard at a menial job.

I'm all for that. Again, I think it's unfair to give illegals special favor because of location. You don't think my family would've loved to just escape Stalinist Poland to get freedom in the USA? Hell yeah, but location makes it impossible for them and millions of others who can't make the distance of an ocean or oceans depending on where they are. BTW, illegals aren't the only ones taking shitty paying jobs to feed their families. I can give you a list of names miles long of Americans citizens and legal aliens that do just that.

Yeah I realize. It was pretty high in 66 when my parents came and even tougher in 91 when my aunt and uncle. They all had major hoops and had to have a family sponsor that could prove financially capable enough to soley support the incoming family member. Plus, they had to have proof of employment. Not an easy task for a working class family but my dad's side made it. Unfortunately, my mom's family is all still in Poland.

I hate to disappoint you but all those latina ladies working at McDonald's came here by bus after getting a 90 day visa from the mexican consulate to visit USA. Strangely they didn't return as promised on the visa and they weren't risking their lives.

Sorry to disappoint you but I'm not the slightest bit disapointed by the methods or choices that those "latina ladies" made. Walking (or riding the bus) a mile in their shoes takes perfect care of that.
