I've never been able to watch Tucker Carlson or any of his ilk, whether on the right or the left. Like virtually all TV pundits*, he uses people's real lives, as well as serious controversies, to create entertainment masking as journalism.

* To clarify: Some "pundits" are less irresponsible than others.

The law as written will not put a stop to these lawsuits. The plaintiff can simply sue on the basis that the defendant was not acting in good faith.

No, Ara, you're right. It's not a smear to call him a twerp because it's true. But pointing out this truth shouldn't discount what he says because even twerps have moments of clarity. Even a bozo like Al Gore has them. ;-)
