Well, I think so anyway. Guess we'll never know. Now we'll just see how big a hypocrite Schumer is--this guy was Schumer's golden boy for two previous positions, a "consensus nominee." So will it be a real confirmation hearing, or more of a fishing expedition/bash the administration fest? It should be interesting to see....
If -- if!-- Olsen turned Bush down, it was precisely because he figured life was too short to to have his ass kicked up one end of Pennsylvania Avenue and down the other by Patrick Leahy on national TV.
As for Mukasey, I doubt he'll get that kind of reception to say the least. His biggest problem is going to come from right-wingers who are shrieking in anguish because Bush picked someone that Chuck Schumer likes.
