I think Rosemary has it backwards. If it's Clinton and McCain, it's another squeaker, which McCain could definitely win. If it's Obama and McCain, game over, landslide - President Obama.

I have been enjoying watching all the right-wing crapweasels' brains explode with the thought of McCain being the nominee. One of my favorite comments on Kim "Pussified" du Toit's site hoped that 1) McCain would pick an ultra-right running mate, and then 2) be immediately assassinated by a Muslim terrorist.

Still, a marked improvement over any republican. Obama and/or Clinton wipe the floor with McCain. McCain is the 2008 version of Bob Dole. The sacrifice is made...it's over.

First off, Democrats will unite behind Clinton or Obama, period. They simply can’t allow Republicans to drag this country down any farther.

The troglodytes on the right who will get in line behind whomever they’re told to and who would never vote for a black man would also never vote for Hillary. Other Republicans will be dispirited about voting for the conservative poseur. That leaves the ever-malcontented Independents who will also be turned off by a prevaricating warmonger who’s old enough to be their grandfather.

Of course, the Republican/media attack machine will drag out all the dirt it can muster against either Democrat (duh, that’s what it does) but there’s a whole closet full of accumulated dirt on Clinton and, so far, all they’ve been able to find on Obama is his middle name.

Clinton vs. McCain = ugly Clinton win with dirt on everyone and more division going into her presidency.

Obama vs. McCain = big Obama victory with the right’s racist base fully exposed and repudiated.

BTW, if Hannity endorsement makes you feel like you made the right choice, how does this make you feel? Like a strange bedfellow perhaps?
