John McCain = JFK...I like it. I really, really like it.
Stop drinking. Now. I'm not kidding. No more Grey Goose.
Seriously, here's the thing about McCain: That "Service to America" tour? What a piece of self-aggrandizing crap. Bottom line: he wants us to be more like him. You know: war hero, torture saint, whatever. But I don't want to be like McCain: I want him to be more like me. Or at least understand better what it's like to be me.
And another thing: his TV ad. Have you seen it? He comes on pretty strong at the beginning, saying: "Do not yield...We're Americans and we'll never surrender." The problem? It's the words "yield" and "surrender." Why say that in a political ad?
Yeah, I know, he says "we'll never surrender." But you know what? People don't hear that part. It's like Nixon saying, "I am not a crook." All people hear is "crook" or worse, "I am a crook."
As soon as you say "we'll never surrender," people unconsciously think, "we'll surrender." That said, the word triggers all sorts of negative connotations that you don't want being associated with ... you. And to put it in a campaign ad? I'm seriously rolling my eyes. Who's running his campaign anyway?
Look -- all the Republicans are saying it about all the Democrats, all the time (going back to Jean Schmidt and JD Hayworth, for starters). Where has it gotten them? Nowhere. No. Where.
It's not a smart bit of political rhetoric, using the S-word for any reason.
...I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
It wasn't the Democrats alone that made politics turn hyperpartisan. It was a combination of the "vast right wing conspiracy" touting Clintons and the Contract with America Republicans. That's what I think, turned politics even more ugly and divisive in recent years.
Maybe he can hook up with Zell Miller (you'll have to look him up, I haven't time to explain who he is now). I understand that miserableness loves company.
Dude, don't trash McCain with JFK's crap. We'll have a dude happy to send black men to die on the front lies while protecting his white buddies from the same. A dude who fucks the same chicks as his dad and brothers, who commits troops until it looks bad and doesn't get the job done.
40 years from now I don't want my grand-kids learning about what whores McCain fucked in the Oval office. It's bad enough I lived through the ones Clinton did, do I have to live through you wishing that on little Mc too?
Seriously, I hate JFK. His legacy is a 'cold war' with sanctions still in place to no effect, almost starting a nuclear war (granted, there were other players but still), a corrupt ass VP who took over when he was killed (Johnson represents everything that was wrong with (and still is) Texas politics). Take the blinders off Rose.

Rhianna,
You know Joe was saying that to stick it to the Democrats.
You would think that, being 94% evil and all.
Me, I get even more honest when I'm drinking; often to great regret (and not just my own ;^)
