Still in Love...

Bush and Putin aren't quite over. Dude, I thought they were so last year...

The personal chemistry between Bush and Putin has weathered severe rows between their two countries and was on display again as the U.S. leader held a farewell summit on the Black Sea a month before Putin steps down.

Speaking to reporters at Putin's vacation retreat, Bush said they worked to "find ways to be agreeable when we disagree".

"You're not afraid to tell me what's on your mind. And when it's all said and done, we can shake hands," Bush told Putin on Saturday.

Putin spoke warmly of "George".

"I always appreciated his superior human qualities: honesty, openness and ability to hear a partner," said Putin, standing beside the U.S. leader at a news conference after their meeting on Sunday. "This is worth a lot."

Awwww, isn't that sweet? They still have feelings for each other despite the very public break up they had a few years back... Personally, I'm not that forgiving. Don't get me wrong, I can be very forgiving but one thing will insure that I seek retribution. Airing my intimate/private business in public. Embarrass me publicly and you'll be looking for your testicles to the ends of the earth and you won't find them...because they will have already been digested by the first carnivore I bumped into.

Yes but did anyone ever really have Russia?

Bush didn't lose Russia, the "American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus" and decades-long American left and right wing support for the Saudi-supported Chechen 'rebels' lost Russia.

Well, that, Europe's dependence on Russian oil and our attack on Russia (and Europe's) friend Saddam helped lose Russia.

But on a personal basis, Bush always seemed to like Putin more than he liked Tony Blair. Brits might have noticed that too. Bush might have lost Britain..

Condi may not know modern Russia (or the ME for that matter) but she wouldn't be caught dead in that dress.
