Sad to say, but it ain't gonna happen. Some are predicting a giant Obama win in NC.

Oh well.

Early returns, slim as they are, suggest we may have to euthanize Rev Goddam America in a state other than North Carolina.

Any truth to the rumor that Hillary "Eight Belles" Clinton was put down behind the shed in Indiana with the revolver by Col. Mustard? Prof. Plum? Perhaps Miss Scarlet?

Can't verify that rumor but she has gone missing in Gary, IN...

She's gone missing period. Canceling all appearances tomorrow (today) and meeting with the party elders in D.C.

That's what you do when you're about to bow out gracefully. She threw everything she had at him and he's still standing tall. It's over.

BTW, the filly crippled herself only to come in second while Big Brown goes on to the next race.

It's over. Now, on to more 24/7 Rev. Wright coverage! Wheee!

"Now, on to more 24/7 Rev. Wright coverage!"

Looks like the good Reverend's invocation failed. That is, assuming that Obama beats McCain in November and I'd bet on the young black stallion over the old gray war horse ten races out of ten.

You really think Wright is that important to warrant coverage at this point? I'd think the McGreevey divorce would tend to dominate coverage now. After all, it contains the all important question in all significant political stories; what did she know and when did she know it?

FormerRepub (mail):
Most people really don't care about Wright, and I'm one of them. What someone *else* said, that you do not believe in, is irrelevant. If I thought BO believed the same things, or said the same things, that would be different. Instead, he makes an historic speech on race when RW first broke, then denounced him when RW decided to go batshit crazy, spewing all sorts of defenses to reclaim his "honor" (Ugh.)

This is all media drivel, and sensationalism. It sells papers, it keeps viewers tuned during commercials. It drives more controversy into an already epic primary. The media has played it for all it's worth, and the end result is that ppl don't care.

Issues are what matter. And BHO and HRC are as close as they come in that regard. Either will make a formidable opponent to McSame. It comes down to integrity and personality. HRC has gone as negative as Rove, while BHO defended her during a debate for her outright lie about Bosnia sniper fire.

Wright? Yesterday's news.

If the GOP wants to make an issue of it, we can then have a discussion of Hagee and Falwell, and how their comments have gotten nowhere near the press (umm, *any* press?). War against Islam? New Orleans the wrath of God for the upcoming gay pride march? Catholic Church a whore drinking the blood of Jews?

Please, Let's get to what really matters.

Economy. Iraq. Health care. I've been separated for a year, but still legally married because my wife has by far better health insurance than my job offers.

Sorry to interject some seriousness into this lively and enjoyably humorous thread :)

Missed you guys/gals, but life is busy as a single!
